Grinding Media Supply Solutions

MACA Interquip buys and sells second-hand mill balls from various Australian mines. The source media is typically mixed with rock, scats, rock-bolts and the like. MACA Interquip screens, cleans, and sizes this media for re-sale.

The media is most effective when used as ballast, where free-flowing material is required to fill a fabricated counterweight structure. For other purposes, we can source scats (broken mill balls mixed with small pieces of scrap steel) as an affordable alternative.

We can provide you with metallurgical composition reports upon request. The media can be supplied loose in bulk or drummed into bulk bags. We’ll work to what works for you.

Source Media Sizes

Typically, the media is screened into the following size fractions:

  • 40-70mm
  • 75 – 90mm
  • 95-105mm
  • larger than 105mm

MACA Interquip can arrange delivery to sites in Australia and internationally.

Specific supply and distribution availability of grinding media (both used and new) can be limited. We recommend contacting us to find out more about our current supply and delivery options.
